Treatments
Unlike traditional skin boosters, this next-generation treatment focuses on deep regeneration, repair, and long-term collagen stimulation. As a skin bio-stimulator, Polynucleotide treatments work at a cellular level to improve hydration, boost elasticity, and reduce inflammation – without adding volume.
Polynucleotides are derived from purified DNA fragments of salmon that are highly compatible with human tissue and support the skin’s natural repair processes. Over time, they strengthen the skin’s foundation, delivering firmer, healthier, and more youthful-looking skin with long-lasting benefits.

Reviews

Connecting with my patients on a personal level is a fundamental part of my practice.
Our Face-to-face hour offers a genuinely different consultation process where you'll get to ask every question, gain real insight, and understand aesthetics from a personal point of view.
After this 60-minute consultation, you’ll walk away with a personalised treatment plan – with no pressure to book anything until you’re truly ready.
This nickname comes from the natural origin of polynucleotides, which are derived from salmon milt (sperm). While the term is not scientific, it highlights where these powerful skin-repair molecules come from. The DNA is carefully purified and sterilized to create a completely safe, biocompatible solution that stimulates collagen, improves elasticity, and deeply hydrates the skin.
Rest assured, this process is sustainable, as it uses a by-product of aquaculture without harming the salmon population.
Yes! Polynucleotides work by addressing the underlying causes of under-eye concerns rather than just masking them.
For under-eye bags, Polynucleotides reduce puffiness by improving lymphatic drainage, decreasing fluid retention, and tightening the skin. For dark circles, they boost microcirculation to brighten discoloration, thicken thin skin to reduce visible blood vessels, and enhance hydration to smooth out hollowness.
Overall, Polynucleotide treatments provide excellent antioxidant protection that helps prevent oxidative stress that contributes to aging and pigmentation.
Neither one is better than the other, and it all depends on what you’re looking for.
Polynucleotide treatments focus on repair and regeneration, making them great for fine lines, scarring, under-eye puffiness, and overall skin quality. They also stimulate collagen for long-term benefits and last up to five months.
Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid-based bio-remodeller, flooding the skin with hyaluronic acid to improve brightness and elasticity, but it doesn’t stimulate collagen in the same way. It also metabolizes faster, lasting about three months.
These two treatments complement each other beautifully. Polynucleotides can enhance and prolong the effects of Profhilo, making them a powerful combination for full-face rejuvenation.
Polynucleotides are considered a low-risk treatment because they are injected superficially, away from major blood vessels. After treatment, you may notice small bumps at the injection sites and mild redness, particularly on the face. These effects typically subside within 24 hours.
However, when treating the under-eye area, some temporary puffiness is expected, which can take 2 to 4 days to fully settle. The extent of this depends on the injection technique used.
Mesotherapy-style technique: Tiny injections that leave small, visible bumps for a short time.
Cannula technique: Spreads the product more evenly, but can cause noticeable puffiness.
The under-eye area is incredibly delicate, and different treatments work for different concerns.
Polynucleotides improve puffiness, skin quality, circulation, and hydration – making them ideal for overall under-eye rejuvenation.
Dermal Fillers are suitable for isolated tear trough hollows in younger patients but do not address puffiness or pigmentation.
Laser & Chemical Peels can help with pigmentation, but they don’t strengthen or hydrate the skin like polynucleotides do. Plus, lasers aren’t always suitable for darker skin tones, while polynucleotides are safe for everyone.
Profhilo cannot be used under the eyes as it attracts water, causing excessive puffiness.
Polynucleotides are not suitable for certain individuals. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid this treatment due to limited safety data.
Those with seafood allergies should also steer clear, as polynucleotides are derived from salmon DNA. Vegans may also prefer to opt out for the same reason, as the product is not plant-based.
Additionally, if you have an active skin infection or inflammation, I would recommend waiting until your skin has fully healed before undergoing treatment.

Yes – every treatment at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic starts with a consultation. This is an important step to make sure the treatment you’re considering is both suitable and safe for you. During your consultation, I’ll take the time to understand your goals, review your medical history, and discuss what’s best for your skin.
Please note that payment doesn’t automatically guarantee a treatment. If anything comes up during your consultation that makes a procedure unsafe or unsuitable, I will explain why and recommend alternative options.
Yes – all injectable treatments at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic are prescription-only and fully regulated under UK medical guidelines. Treatments are prescribed and administered exclusively by Dr Yiannis, following an in-person consultation to confirm suitability.
Rest assured, we follow strict clinical and hygiene protocols, source products only from licensed UK pharmacies.
For the first 24 hours, I recommend all my patients take it easy. You can certainly cleanse and moisturise the skin, but please avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas. Wearing makeup is perfectly fine, but keep it light-handed. It’s also a good idea to skip strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for the rest of the day.
For the next 1-2 weeks, I would also recommend staying clear of facials, peels, and microneedling. Importantly, I urge you to use daily SPF (30-50) and keep hydrated.
Remember – good skincare supports great treatment results. If you experience any unusual symptoms – be that pain, discomfort, itching, redness, then please contact the clinic immediately on +44 20 3598 7358
