Aesthetic Doctor in London | Anti Wrinkle Clinic
Hello, I’m Dr Yiannis Valilas, co-founder and clinical director of the Anti Wrinkle Clinic in central London.
I am a UK GDC-registered dentist and aesthetic doctor with nearly two decades of clinical experience in medical aesthetics and injectable treatments.
If you’re here, you’re probably researching clinics and doctors because you’re curious about medical aesthetics – but also a little unsure. Unsure about what your skin truly needs, what would suit you, or whether treatments might change you more than you want.
That tells me you’re approaching aesthetics in the right way. Treatment isn’t something you should rush into, but there comes a point where expert guidance becomes more valuable than endless research.
I am originally trained as a dentist from the prestigious University of Siena, Italy, and that background plays an important role in how I practise aesthetic medicine.
I have been registered with the UK General Dental Council since 2005, and my academic and clinical training focused extensively on head and neck anatomy, muscle function, nerves, vascular structures, proportions, and facial balance – so not only how the face looks, but how it works.
This background allows me to assess the face in three dimensions and in motion. I look at how your muscles work together, how your face naturally moves, and how it is likely to respond to treatment before a needle ever touches the skin.
Combined with over 20 years of dental and aesthetic clinical experience, this has made me a confident, light-handed injector who prioritises safety, precision, and natural-looking results. Patients frequently comment on minimal bruising and smooth recoveries, something I attribute to careful technique and taking the necessary time with treatment.

I entered aesthetic medicine long before social media, influencer culture, and fast-moving trends shaped how ageing and beauty are discussed today. At that time, aesthetic medicine was approached as a branch of medicine, not a branch of fashion.
At 48 years old, I belong to a generation that has witnessed how both the industry and human psychology around ageing have evolved. This allows me to work comfortably with patients across all age groups – from those who want to age well and maintain their individuality, to younger patients looking for clarity and reassurance in a space often driven by trends.
I’ve always approached aesthetic medicine with respect for ageing and individuality, and with the belief that treatments should support how you feel, not push you towards an unrealistic idea of ‘perfection.’
This 60-minute consultation reflects my approach to aesthetics, and is the heart of how I work.
It is a proper, unrushed conversation where we get to know each other and where you have the space to ask the questions you’ve often been holding back.
We talk about your skin concerns, your goals, and what’s been going through your mind when you look in the mirror. Once I understand who you are and what has brought you in, I guide you through the options that make sense for you – including when doing less, or nothing at all, may be the right choice.
Patients often tell me they leave feeling listened to, not rushed through. That matters to me.

Aesthetic medicine isn’t a recognised medical specialty in the UK, so I prefer to be clear about what I’m experienced in rather than using the word “specialist.”
Before marketing became part of the industry, most of my practice developed largely through word of mouth. Patients often came back or referred others because their results felt natural and aligned with what we had discussed in consultation. This reflects a careful approach to muscle assessment, realistic expectations, and precision from the first treatment.
My reputation was built long before marketing and advertising, through consistent, natural results with Botulinum Toxin. Many patients over the years have told me things like,
“Dr Yiannis is amazing, honestly this is the best Botox I’ve ever had”
This comes from careful muscle assessment, product knowledge, and precision from the very first treatment.
Jaw clenching and teeth grinding are particular areas where my dental training really matters. I take time to assess the teeth, bite, jaw movement, and jaw joints before recommending any injectable treatment. Sometimes Botox treatment alone is sufficient, but often it’s more effective when combined with precision-made mouth guards. When further dental assessment is needed, I’ll refer patients to my trusted network of dental specialists in London.
As the world of facial aesthetics continues to advance, so too does my focus on regenerative medicine. This includes treatments with Sculptra, Sunekos, and Polynucleotides, with a particular interest in under-eye rejuvenation – an area that is both technically challenging and highly individual. Botox and Dermal Fillers will always have their place, but I prefer to use them selectively as supporting treatments or as a subtle finishing touch.
At the Anti Wrinkle Clinic in London, my areas of expertise focus on non-surgical injectable treatments and advanced skincare, with an emphasis on regeneration, skin quality, and long-term outcomes rather than short-term volume.
