Treatments
As we age, our skin naturally loses volume, elasticity, and hydration, which can leave some areas of the face looking flatter or less defined. Dermal Fillers are used to restore facial balance, smooth deeper lines, and enhance natural contours – all while keeping results refined and proportionate.
Using hyaluronic acid-based fillers from trusted medical brands, this treatment provides subtle definition and structure, helping the face look fresher and more hydrated. Results are immediate, long-lasting, and when done right, effortlessly natural.

Dermal fillers can be used in several areas of the face to enhance definition, restore balance, and support facial harmony. Common treatment areas include the temples (to address hollowing and support the upper face), tear troughs (to reduce the appearance of under-eye shadows), mid-face (to gently restore cheek volume and contour), lips (to refine shape and definition), and the lower face (to soften lines, enhance the jawline, and improve chin proportion).
When performed by an experienced medical practitioner like Dr Yiannis, Dermal Filler treatments can help the face appear smoother, refreshed, and naturally balanced, while maintaining authentic facial expression.

Connecting with my patients on a personal level is a fundamental part of my practice.
Our Face-to-face hour offers a genuinely different consultation process where you'll get to ask every question, gain real insight, and understand aesthetics from a personal point of view.
After this 60-minute consultation, you’ll walk away with a personalised treatment plan – with no pressure to book anything until you’re truly ready.
That "pillow face" look is definitely a concern for many people considering fillers. But the good news is, when done correctly, fillers are great at enhancing your features subtly and naturally.
"Pillow face" isn't caused by the filler itself, but rather by poor technique, a lack of expertise, or using the wrong product for the specific area. Overfilling, not maintaining facial balance, and going to multiple different clinics can all contribute to an unnatural look.
That's why choosing an experienced and qualified practitioner like myself is absolutely crucial. They'll have the knowledge and artistry to create natural-looking results that are both safe and effective.
Under-eye dark circles are a multifactorial issue, often caused by a mix of genetics and the natural aging process. As we age, fat pads can shift downward, creating hollows that cast shadows, making dark circles more prominent.
Dermal Fillers can only help restore volume loss in the tear trough area and slightly improve the hollow. However, if pigmentation, puffiness or thin skin is the main cause, fillers won’t solve the issue. In these cases, treatments like collagen boosters for skin quality, and pigmentation treatments should be employed first.
Addressing all the underlying causes is the best way to achieve brighter, more natural-looking results.
The main difference between Dermal Fillers and Sculptra lies in their ingredients and how they work. Dermal Fillers, typically made from cross-linked hyaluronic acid, provide immediate volume and hydration in areas where fat has been lost. On the other hand, Sculptra works behind the scenes, using Poly-L-lactic acid to gradually stimulate your body’s collagen production. Over time, this natural boost in collagen results in a subtle, volumising, and lifting effect that enhances your features in an effective yet understated way.
Fillers give almost instant results, lasting up to one year depending on the product used, how quickly your body metabolises it, and your personal lifestyle. Sculptra's results can last up to two years, but you'll start seeing noticeable improvements around six weeks after treatment.
One of the great advantages of hyaluronic acid fillers is that they can be dissolved. However, it's not simply a matter of "trying it out" and dissolving if you don't like it. Dissolving fillers can also affect your own natural hyaluronic acid, potentially leading to asymmetry or other unwanted outcomes.
That’s why we prefer a conservative approach – starting with just enough, then refining if needed. It's much easier to add more filler later than to try and correct overfilling.
Additionally, because hyaluronic acid fillers attract water, you might see some additional volume in the weeks after treatment, so it's important to be patient and allow the filler to settle before making any decisions about dissolving.
All treatments are personally performed by Dr Yiannis (that’s me!), a fully qualified medical aesthetic practitioner with over 20 years of experience. My academic and clinical background includes:
• General Dental Surgeon, University of Siena, Italy
• Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry, University College London (Eastman Dental Institute)
• Master of Science (MSc) in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, University of Manchester
Over the past 20 years, I have also completed extensive postgraduate training in facial aesthetics, participating in numerous advanced, hands-on training modules both in the UK and across Europe. This includes training delivered by internationally recognised experts in medical aesthetics as well as by the pharmaceutical and medical device companies whose products I use in clinic, ensuring my techniques are up to date, evidence-based, and aligned with the highest safety standards.
Everything that happens at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic, I personally carry out – ensuring consistency, safety, and care from start to finish.
Focusing on skin quality first is a modern approach to aesthetics. While fillers can add volume and address specific areas of concern, they don't improve the overall texture, tone, or elasticity of the skin itself. Therefore, treating only isolated areas can create an uneven or unnatural appearance if the surrounding skin doesn't match.
For example, enhancing the lips without addressing the surrounding framework such as smoker’s lines, downturned mouth corners, and poor skin quality can make the results look out of place rather than seamlessly rejuvenated.
Treatments like skin boosters and a personalised skincare help create a strong foundation by improving hydration, collagen production, and overall skin quality. This not only makes fillers look better and last longer, but can even reduce the need for fillers altogether.
Yes – every treatment at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic starts with a consultation. This is an important step to make sure the treatment you’re considering is both suitable and safe for you. During your consultation, I’ll take the time to understand your goals, review your medical history, and discuss what’s best for your skin.
Please note that payment doesn’t automatically guarantee a treatment. If anything comes up during your consultation that makes a procedure unsafe or unsuitable, I will explain why and recommend alternative options.
Yes – all injectable treatments at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic are prescription-only and fully regulated under UK medical guidelines. Treatments are prescribed and administered exclusively by Dr Yiannis, following an in-person consultation to confirm suitability.
Rest assured, we follow strict clinical and hygiene protocols, source products only from licensed UK pharmacies.
All aesthetic treatments carry some degree of risk, but we do everything possible to keep those risks very low. Most patients experience only mild, short-lived effects such as slight redness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites, which usually settle within a couple of days.
More significant side effects are rare, but as with any injectable procedure, issues such as bruising, infection, or allergic reaction can occasionally occur.
If you ever have concerns after treatment – especially if you notice severe pain, increasing swelling, or changes in vision – you should contact the clinic immediately on +44 20 3598 7358.
Dermal Fillers aren't suitable for everyone, and in clinic I’m always careful to check this properly first. I wouldn’t treat you if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an active skin infection (including cold sores in the area), or if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients.
If you have certain medical conditions, you’re taking blood-thinning medication, or you’ve recently had facial procedures or a vaccination, we may need to delay your treatment for safety.
If you’re unsure, just tell me what’s going on and I’ll advise you on the safest timing.
For the first 24 hours, I recommend all my patients take it easy. You can certainly cleanse and moisturise the skin, but please avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas. Wearing makeup is perfectly fine, but keep it light-handed. It’s also a good idea to skip strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for the rest of the day.
For the next 1-2 weeks, I would also recommend staying clear of facials, peels, and microneedling. Importantly, I urge you to use daily SPF (30-50) and keep hydrated.
Remember – good skincare supports great treatment results. If you experience any unusual symptoms – be that pain, discomfort, itching, redness, then please contact the clinic immediately on +44 20 3598 7358
