Treatments
Ellansé, developed by Sinclair, is a unique collagen-stimulating injectable that works on two levels – providing immediate contour where it's needed, while encouraging your skin to rebuild its own collagen gradually over time.
It does this through a smooth gel that delivers instant structural support, with active particles inside that stimulate your skin's own collagen production. As the gel fades naturally, your collagen takes over – leaving behind firmer, more supported skin that continues to improve with time.

Benefits

Microspheres within the gel stimulate the skin's own collagen-producing cells for gradual, long-term improvement
Encourages the production of type I collagen – responsible for strength, firmness, and lasting tissue support
As the gel fades naturally, your own collagen takes its place, continuing results from within
Improves skin density, firmness, and elasticity in addition to volumisation

Connecting with my patients on a personal level is a fundamental part of my practice.
Our Face-to-face hour offers a genuinely different consultation process where you'll get to ask every question, gain real insight, and understand aesthetics from a personal point of view.
After this 60-minute consultation, you’ll walk away with a personalised treatment plan – with no pressure to book anything until you’re truly ready.
Traditional dermal fillers work by adding volume to the skin – and that's largely what you're seeing in the result. Ellansé does something more interesting. It provides that same immediate structural lift, but alongside this, active particles within the gel are working to stimulate your own collagen production.
Over time, the result increasingly comes from your own tissue rather than the product itself – which is why it's often described as a hybrid injectable. It genuinely bridges two worlds: immediate volumisation and gradual collagen stimulation.
Most treatments are either one or the other – but Ellansé does both, making it particularly well suited to patients who need structural lift now but also want long-term improvement in their skin's own quality and support.
It's a question I get asked a lot, and the honest answer is that each treatment has a distinct purpose.
Sculptra works gradually and requires multiple sessions before visible results appear – making it better suited to patients who are comfortable with a slower process.
Radiesse, like Ellansé, provides immediate volume alongside collagen stimulation, but tends to be shorter-lasting – whereas Ellansé is designed for a more sustained structural result over one to two years.
Juläine sits in a different category altogether – it focuses purely on gradual collagen regeneration without adding volume, making it better suited to patients whose primary concern is skin quality and early laxity rather than structural change.
At the Anti Wrinkle Clinic I sometimes use these treatments alongside each other, as the right combination depends entirely on what your skin needs – something we'll always work through together during your consultation.
The difference comes down to how long the product takes to break down, and therefore how long the results last.
Ellansé S has a shorter duration, with results lasting up to around 18 months.
Ellansé M has longer polymer chains, which extends the result to around 24 months.
Which version is most appropriate for you will depend on your skin, your goals, and what we discuss during your consultation – I'll always recommend the version that makes the most clinical sense for your individual case.
One of the things that distinguishes Ellansé from many other collagen-stimulating treatments is that results are visible immediately – the gel provides structural support from the moment of treatment.
Over the following months, as your own collagen develops, those results become increasingly natural and integrated.
In terms of longevity, most patients see results that hold for one to two years depending on the version used, with ongoing improvement over the first few months after treatment.
No – and this is something I'm always transparent about with my patients. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Ellansé cannot be dissolved once placed.
This makes careful patient selection, precise placement, and a conservative approach absolutely essential.
It's also why a thorough consultation before treatment is non-negotiable at my clinic – as I need to be confident that Ellansé is the right choice for you before we proceed.
Ellansé tends to work best for patients who are experiencing more noticeable volume loss or structural change – those who want immediate improvement alongside longer-term collagen support, rather than a purely gradual treatment.
It's particularly well suited to the mid and lower face, where definition and contour have softened over time. If you're not sure whether it's the right fit, the Face-to-face hour is the best place to start – and I'd always encourage you to book one before making any decision.
There are two sides to this question – treatment limitations and clinical contraindications – and I think it's important to be upfront about both.
From a treatment perspective, Ellansé is a structural and volumising treatment – it isn't designed for superficial or delicate areas such as the lips or under-eyes, and it isn't the right choice for patients whose primary concern is surface skin quality rather than volume or structure. If those are your goals, there are other treatments far better suited to them.
From a clinical perspective, Ellansé isn't appropriate if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an active skin infection in the treatment area, or if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients.
If you have certain medical conditions, are taking blood-thinning medication, or have recently had other facial procedures, we may need to delay treatment for safety. I'll always check all of this carefully before we proceed.
As with any injectable treatment, there are risks to be aware of – and because Ellansé cannot be dissolved, I take patient selection and placement particularly seriously.
Most patients experience only mild, short-lived effects such as redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, which typically resolve within a few days.
More significant risks – including nodule formation, inflammation, or vascular complications – are rare but possible, and are minimised through correct depth of placement, controlled volumes, and thorough knowledge of facial anatomy.
If you ever have concerns after treatment – especially if you notice severe pain, increasing swelling, or changes in vision – please contact the clinic immediately on +44 20 3598 7358.
Yes – every treatment at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic starts with a consultation. This is an important step to make sure the treatment you're considering is both suitable and safe for you. During your consultation, I'll take the time to understand your goals, review your medical history, and discuss what's best for your skin.
Please note that payment doesn't automatically guarantee a treatment. If anything comes up during your consultation that makes a procedure unsafe or unsuitable, I will explain why and recommend alternative options.
Yes – all injectable treatments at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic are prescription-only and fully regulated under UK medical guidelines. Treatments are prescribed and administered exclusively by Dr Yiannis, following an in-person consultation to confirm suitability.
Rest assured, we follow strict clinical and hygiene protocols, source products only from licensed UK pharmacies.
All treatments are personally performed by Dr Yiannis (that's me!), a fully qualified medical aesthetic practitioner with over 20 years of experience. My academic and clinical background includes:
General Dental Surgeon, University of Siena, Italy
Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry, University College London (Eastman Dental Institute)
Master of Science (MSc) in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, University of Manchester
Over the past 20 years, I have also completed extensive postgraduate training in facial aesthetics, participating in numerous advanced, hands-on training modules both in the UK and across Europe.
This includes training delivered by internationally recognised experts in medical aesthetics as well as by the pharmaceutical and medical device companies whose products I use in clinic, ensuring my techniques are up to date, evidence-based, and aligned with the highest safety standards.
Everything that happens at the Anti Wrinkle Clinic, I personally carry out – ensuring consistency, safety, and care from start to finish.
For the first 24 hours, I recommend all my patients take it easy. You can certainly cleanse and moisturise the skin, but please avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas. Wearing makeup is perfectly fine, but keep it light-handed. It's also a good idea to skip strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for the rest of the day.
For the next one to two weeks, I would also recommend staying clear of facials, peels, and microneedling. Importantly, I urge you to use daily SPF (30–50) and keep hydrated. Remember – good skincare supports great treatment results.
If you experience any unusual symptoms – be that pain, discomfort, itching, or redness – please contact the clinic immediately on +44 20 3598 7358.
